In the true Americana tradition of the Turnbuckles' "Super Destroyer Mark II" b/w "Rearranger" where, for the day they took the cover shot, the kids put on their stripped shirts, Beatle buttons, and skinny ties to watch their wrassler heroes terrorize the gym of their local High School. In star-crossed deference to the sexually hostile Minneapolis band of the same namesake as the one we're here talking up . . . that ruled the local radio waves of the late Eighties with little giggles like "Remember Holding You," "Time Starts Now," and - who could ever forget? - "Danglin' On A String." IIn Lake St. doctor offices specializing in vasectomies, abortions, Vitamin B and hormone injections. In Nord East delicatessens serving horseradish smeared bratwurst stackers and stalls stuffed with salami-whipped clientele administering under-the-table whack jobs. In the dive bars along the 'Minnesota Strip' still lined with strippers, shirtless servers, teenage tricks, dick stuffed jeans, cameltoe Chic, and fuchsia painted lips. In the backrooms of VFW's, Citizen Leagues, Delphian Chapters, Aquatennial Charters, Teacher's Associations, Writer's Workshops, Civil Liberties Unions, Neighborhood Ward Societies, and Chicano overrun Polish-American Centers. In this City of Minneapolis - squeezed between the Land of Lakes, the bed of Green Giants, the toilet of Bunyan's Blue Ox, and stinking of a slow Mary Tyler-ratings death . . . In this home of Fancy Ray, Juicy Lucy Burgers, a rabid Tiny Tim fan, and dream keepers of far-away tropic and oriental shores . . . This place of long winters, numb nuts, and frozen tubs NOW spits OUT . . . the BOYS CLUB!!!
